Clownin' Around and A Bit More Q&A
Tonight I’m performing at the Big Apple Circus as "Doctor Ditsy" (my clown care persona - see bigapplecircus.org) along with Chris Meloni from Law & Order: SVU.
I’ll try and take pictures and post them on Monday. Have a great weekend.

hi meredith! just wondering, did you ever have a fear of public speaking?
Posted by anonymous on November 01 at 07:37pm
I still have a fear of public speaking – I think it comes down to the fact that as a reporter, I’ve told other people’s stories for so long that I can’t imagine anyone would want to hear mine, or much less care about my opinion.
For as much as you're on tv, what shows do you never miss? favorite show of all time?
Posted by kryss on November 01 at 04:54pm
The only show I try to watch every night is Seinfeld, which airs at 7:30pm. I’ve seen them all many times, but they always make me laugh.
I'm just wondering - what do you wear in your off hours - you know, hanging out with the family, teachers' conferences, going out for a casual dinner? Do you take those lovely Today Show clothes home with you?

I wear the same thing pretty much every day: Jeans, a t-shirt (usually white), and my brown clogs and I carry an orange and black backpack. Glamorous, huh?

I'm always so psyched when you answer my questions, thanks!
Now onto the important question... is Chris Meloni as gorgeous in person as he is on tv when he's portraying Stabler?
Hi Meredith,
I have a question for you. Now that you've been on today for just over a year....how would you compare the Meredith last year pre Today, to the Meredith a year down the track since starting at Today?
I enjoy your blog - your warmth, good cheer and humor brighten the day.
Regards,
Kate

Meredith...
I am trying to locate the Mickey Mouse carry on luggage that you own and mentioned on your June 07 Today show segment. It is for a Christmas gift and so far...I have been unable to locate it (I have searched the web and called Disney).. Could you tell me which Disney store you purchased it? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks much
Good morning
You were definetely "The Catch Of The Day" To-Day. At the end of the segment you said "it tastes good" Wich means honey, (you can cook.)
Portugal is a seafaring nation.
The country 's diet consists primarily of fish. Likewise, many Rohde Islander's eat plenty of fish. No wonder your so smart ;)
Are you as bad in your own kitchen as you are on the show's?
Would you all starve without Gabe? :)
Hi Meredith,
I have a quick question. I understand that you are afraid of bridges. How do you manage to cross them as frequently as you do? Do you drive across them or does someone else?
Here we go again-------no posts and no explanation. She can't be using Millionaire as an excuse now. How terrible. Why doesn't she just drop her blog? It's just a place for her to brag about her kids and to receive all the adoration anyway.
Meredith,
It was a pleasure to meet you earlier today.(November 12, 2007) However, I must say that I was not as eloquent as I should have been. Years of speaking my mind in Silent Meeting should have better prepared me. I wanted to thank you for being so kind and generally interested in me. That truly means a lot. Also, I wanted to tell you that you have been an inspiration for so many girls, especially girls from the Lincoln School as they can now see the success of someone who shares similar roots. I can only hope that I am able to make such an impact in people's lives the way you have. Thank you again for your generosity and maybe one day our paths will cross again.
Sincerely,
Sara Epps '02
Meredith-I hear there is nothing like New York at Christmas. Are there any other events, times of year, or places you think are worth visiting on the east coast?
Your lounging outfit sounds cute and not at all unhip.
Hi Meredith,
I have an orange and black backpack, too!!!
It's my school bag.
Joe
P.S. speaking of Seinfeld, a wise man once said............
NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!!!!! :)
MV you recently asked Heidi Klum if she was wearing any underwear which I thought was a very appropriate question for a super model and then in the next segment you pinched Jamie Oliver on the tip of his turkey baster which again is very appropriate when communicating with a British chef. If anyone was offended let them know that it is typical for people in the UK to great each other with a good, firm genital grab and pinch. Now to my question did you find out if Heidi was wearing panties and when you pinched Jamie on the tip was he commando or was he properly attired?
Why have you been wearing slacks lately?
what happened to all you pretty skirts and dresses...you look so lovely in them, your legs are always so gorgeous...I'm jealous....And I absolutley adore your sexy high heels you wear...
Hi Meredith!
I work for my local NBC affiliate and sometimes run breaks during Today weekend, so maybe I can help clarify why you say "This is Today, on NBC." When you say that, we know it's time for our break and/or our local cut-in. The reason you can't say something else, such as "we'll be right back" or "but first, these messages" is because when you say those things, we know it's time for network's break. :)
I'm really loving the question segment, by the way!
Meredith,
You are definitely a bridge builder in this world between what might seem real/unreal of your profession. Comfortable in both settings, and it sounds like when you leave work, you leave the part that is not you at the job. Good role model for what is not needed in being pretentious.
Blessings,
Linda
Some people really need to grow up. We are not entitled to a blog each & every day. And if this blog is a place for Meredith to "brag about her kids and receive all the adoration", then why on earth does Inky come here at all? The person who should give up the blog is Inky, not Meredith. The rest of us will continue to read and enjoy.
How terrible of you, Inky. Why don't you just stop coming to the blog. Grow up!
Meredith, do you believe in reincarnation?
What a shame that people like Inky have nothing better to do other than complain. If Meredith "brags" about her kids, Inky is unhappy. If Meredith misses the blog, then Inky has something else to whine about. This kind of childish behavior is silly. Stay off the blog if you don't like it. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean others shouldn't have it. Personally, I'm just happy that Meredith takes time to blog whenever she can. Remember, she doesn't have to bother with us at all and we certainly don't have the right to 24 hr. access to this woman's life.
Inky, you've got serious issues. Why don't you do yourself a favor and get a life?
Mer, I think your eyes are hazel in color. However, sometimes they appear to be blue. Do they change?, and if yes, why do you think they change?
I have a question about someone's harsh comment they posted on your blog --'Here we go again-------no posts and no explanation. She can't be using Millionaire as an excuse now. How terrible. Why doesn't she just drop her blog? It's just a place for her to brag about her kids and to receive all the adoration anyway.' Mer, being in the public eye each and every day, how do you take this criticism? Me, I would take it too personally but I know public figures have to ignore it and go about tehir day. Do you take comments like Inky's personally or just ignore them? I can't believe someone would have the audacity to write such hateful comments on your blog.
