Quick Blog

NEWS FLASH: I'm off to Today's holiday party. Have camera, hope to grab some great shots and fill you in tomorrow. By the way, did you see 10-year-old Gabi Wilson on the show this morning? She is a musical prodigy-- singing and playing guitar and piano--and a really great kid to boot. We're doing karaoke at the party, but I have a feeling we would have been a lot better off having Gabi perform. See you tomorrow...

Dec. 4: Gabi Wilson is a star! The 10-year-old shows us how to Boogie Oogie Oogie with her amazing voice and guitar playing on TODAY. <br />

Hi Meredith, I heard this 10 year old girl sing and play the guitar, it doesn't seem fair that a 10 year old has this much talent already, she sounded great and I would bet that she is going to go far. Sounds like you are going to have a good time at your party, I am looking forward to the pictures, hope you get some good ones.
Oh yeah I liked the segment with Matt on the water board, he looked good even if he didn't stay up too long on that thing.
Love ya

Hello! With regards to my last message, I went to the doctor the other day because my allergies have been acting up recently. As a result, I discovered that I'm allergic to honey. Due to an article I read years ago, I have been putting honey in my coffee as a substitute for sugar. According to scientists of nutritional health, the aspartame found in saccharine can lead to cancerous ailments. So I guess I will have to go without it. Write me back! I want to know your thoughts. Merry Christmas, Meredith, and all the best in the New Year. Love, Paul.

I missed the portion of the Today broadcast about the 10-year-old guitar player because I was riding the bus to work. If she can realize her potential as a musician at such a young age, then so can a 54-year-old woman such as yourself. Your beauty is the fountain of youth; and rock and roll is the elixir! Because of your commitments to the Olympics and 2008 Presidential Election, however, your music CD project may have to be put on hold until those events have passed. If you don't get your Millionaire contract renewed, I propose that Toyota sponsor your tour to promote your CD in 2009. Happy Birthday on December 30!

Hi Meredith - Hope the holiday party was fun tonight! I'll be at the Today Show taping tomorrow, as we are visiting NYC and look forward to hearing all about it!

Who's on the show tomorrow? I haven't been able to find anywhere on the Today Show web page that shows what's coming up in the week ahead. Perhaps a link could be added for such?

Anyways, I hope the party was fun. Bundle up, it's cold, cold, cold outside and we want to see you, Matt, Ann and Al visiting on the plaza :)

Best,

I have wanted to say for quite a while that I am glad you are on the Today show. I am retired now and I watch the show daily until 9:30 Am and then switch to Millionaire. My husband and I enjoy you on both shows and hope that you stay for a long time. Millionaire is great with you as the hostess. You are very quick witted and you come across as very honest. Good luck to you in the future

Dear Merideth, on your show you talk about weight loss and dress size. Today they showed a picture of Jenifer Love Hewitt. You said she wore a size 2. She is beautiful. My issue is with the size chart . If you go to Jo Ann's or any expensive store, that is an expensive one where I live, you might wear a size 2. But in my real world I go to Walmart or K mart, and the size would be a 10 or 12.But the same size as the 2. maybe this would be a good thing to point out to the real people in this world. A lot of young people have to buy their clothes at these stores.and it is confusing for them. I just wish you would think about this when you say 2 is the "in" size now . I do not mean you personally, But as a show. I always appreciate your honesty, and don't believe you realize this bit of info. Thanks for listening. I wear a size 18 in the real world, maybe I should shop at the places your show does, then I would feel better about myself, ah a size 10

Meridith I loved the jacket you wore this morning on the show- it is December 5th. It had a Scandinavian look or maybe like a Kimono. I would really appreciate it if you could tell us who the maker is. As a woman I am always searching for clothing that makes me feel more like me!
Thanks M.

Dear Meredith,
It's a sad day in America when a person is targeted for wishing others a "Merry Christmas". There is evidently a small number of people who want to persecute anyone for as much as a referral to anything biblical, Christian or Godly because they are "offended". I can assure you I speak for many when I say I am offended that the majority who hold these beliefs are increasingly persecuted & forced into silence. Are you at all concerned at the loss of our rights to speak? Do you know the history of the Christmas holiday and why we even celebrate this day? Are you aware of America's founding fathers' beliefs and why they came here to begin with? It WAS NOT to silence the voice of faith, rather it was to allow the freedom of this voice. It's easy to find what the founding fathers' general beliefs were. Most shared a common belief that without divine intervention of the one & only true God we would not be successful in any pursuit. Please start giving more thought to your words and stop the persecution.
