I love the Today Show. My day starts with you at 7:00 a.m. (Central Time). You always make me smile and laugh. Meredith I love your sense of humor and how everyone gets along. This has to be natural as I don't think you could fake liking each other. I've missed seeing Tiki Barber on the show. Has he stopped being a Today Show correspondent?
Tiki is definitely a Today show correspondent, but he is always on the go covering stories. He just did a great segment (click here to watch) about “Sweat Equity Enterprises” (SEE), a non-profit, innovative collaboration that partners professional designers with low-income students-it’s an amazing learning experience for both the students and the companies.

Hi Meredith,
I love watching you every morning on Today, and I loved when you were on The View too :). Anyway, I'm 18 years old and I love to watch older movies (Doris Day is my favorite actress of all time), and I was wondering what your favorite older movies are. Thanks for being so energetic and happy all the time!! You're the best!!
I have so many movies that I love--I love the old Alfred Hitchock movies, I look forward to “It’s A Wonderful Life” at Christmas time. Everyone should not only read “To Kill A Mockingbird” but see the movie that starred Gregory Peck. “Doctor Zhivago” is one of my all time favorites, starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie. I thought Omar Sharif was so handsome I wanted to get stuck in a Russian snow bank with him.

Dear Meredith: When you took your plunge into the icy water last week in Vermont, Did you have any kind of rubber wet suit on under your t-shirt and pants? (I was just wondering)
Absolutely not. Those penguin plungers don’t allow it.
Feel free to post a question of your own for next time!

Hi Meredeth
I just want to say that I love watching you on TV. You are a very classy, and beautiful lady.
While reading these blogs I have noticed several postings about you wearing pantyhose. Seems to me like there are several people out there fascinated with the fact that a classy lady such as you self still seems to know how to dress. There are to many professional women out there nowadays going bare legged and in my personal opinion that isnt very professional.
Maybe you should do a blog about you and your wearing of pantyhose just to get it out in the open and give your opinions on the subject. That one would solve all these post reguarding the subject and two make alot of people happy.
Well that is it for me take care and you have a great rest of the day and keep up the great work.

Hello Meredith,
I rarely watch TV but happened to tune in on today's show as you were talking about Animal Hoarding. I think you are a very gracious and kind person to everyone. I appreciate your respect for all people.
Did you know that when people "hoard" they keep analyzing the same thoughts and get stuck in a thought loop? When people "hoard" anything, they do so FIRST by thinking the same thought without changing to a different thought. This can sometimes lead to anxiety, worry, depression until it gets to despair or ever suicide. When we do this "thought hoarding" we are essentially stuck thinking predominantly using the analytical upper left brain. This brain part analyzes information but is not designed to solve any situation. It just analyzes the information it inputs and this can sometimes lead to analysis paralysis.
When people get stuck in analysis paralysis, they might also create inner anxiety, worry or even panic. They feel "stuck" verbally in an invisible battle between the upper left and upper right brain quadrants. The lady who was doing "animal hoarding" imagined she was really doing those animals a service. This "hoarding thoughts" is the same thing that happens when people feel stage fright, worry when doing sales presentations or other things done publicly where they fear someone will say critical remarks unbearable for them to hear. Sometimes they feel so anxious or overwhelmed thinking about the critical remarks, they can sometimes become immobile. They don't know how to do simple mental exercises to get "unstuck."
If you'd like to see more information on the brain dialog research I do, please visit my website. Specifically look at the online seminar notes for a summarized explanation of your brain's 4 living computer software programs.
Also, if you'd like to do some exercises that can reduce or greatly eliminate any stage fright if you still experience that, I can explain them to you.
Thanks for being a great presence on TV. All the shows I've seen you do makes me want to keep watching your work. In my opinion, you are a great support to the women watching you. You remind me of Katherine Hepburn. She was a classy lady, too.
Thanks for reading my post. Enjoy your week.

Hi Meredith!
I was just at Today for my 18th birthday and I hope to pursue a career in communications after college so it was a wonderful experience to meet you when you came around to everyone and were amazingly genuine. What do you believe is the most essential personality characteristic for a journalist to possess? Thank you.

Dear Meredith,
I'd like to see more coverage of the Iraq War. The other day, after 8 American soldiers were killed, I watched the show to learn the details and to see if you'd begin a more in-depth coverage of this surge that the president says is working. I only see the first 20 minutes of the show before leaving for work. I think that's enough time to hear at least an introduction to the most important stories.
The death of the soldiers was not covered. However, several minutes were devoted to the president's "hilarious" song and dance performance at a press dinner.
Is the Today show a part of the NBC news organization, or is officially an entertainment show now? It certainly seems more like Entertainment Tonight than it used to.
Hey Meredith~
Top of the mornin' to ya.
That's what my kids were saying as they got ready for school.
Am writing to say how much more I enjoy them since we've decided it's time to tighten the belt and budget our money more carefully.
Sometimes having so much disposable income can lead to pursuits and purchases that are not at all family friendly. My kids once clamored for the newest video game etc, then entered their own little cyber worlds.
I was guilty of grabbing Starbucks concoctions between trips to the mall to acquire the latest styles.
The Today Show segment on materialistic kids described my household....kids and adults....until we had to stop spending so much.
It really was the best thing that could have happened to us. It allowed us to discover each other...to take time for simple card games, conversation, meals prepared with everyone's help.
We are happier with less and appreciate what we have more.
Dear Meredith-
Over the years I have been interested in the shows that have had the privilege to have you on them. More recently I have become more interested in the amazing relationship you and your husband seem to have.
I am 28 and have recently taken on the role as a caregiver to my husband Sam, also 28. He was paralyzed last June in a mountain biking accident.
I was unsure of how to contact you, but I would love to learn more about how you and your husband have grown in your own relationship. I am also looking for help on a wonderful project I have thrown myself into.
Looking forward to your input.
Be well,
Brie Russell
Meredith,
I've been watching you since you were on The View and followed you over to the Today show, I think you're just great. I have a question for you, I am a business woman and I wear hose to work everyday, the last few months whenever you're wearing a skirt or dress, it almost looks as if you're not wearing hose. You used to say you always wear pantyhose, if you are wearing hose what kind are they, I would like to change to this brand, they look so sheer and almost invisible. Help me out.

Hello:
I am a big fan of yours. I also listen to the Dr. Laura show when I can (I have a 14 month old, so its hard). I only saw a snipet of her you with you. But apparently, there seems to be some controversy to what she said. Can you answer that? I have a lot of respect for her so was curious as to what she said.
Love watching you everyday! You are so funny---love how you and Matt banter---like siblings!
Here is my question...did you ever do the voice of any of the shows like Snapped, or City Confidential? I like to watch those when I can, and one of those voices sounds like you!
Anyway, just thought I'd ask! Keep up the good work! We love you!!

Question for a Friday:
I know somedays you have many comments on your blog - other days there are a few. Do you ever track back on the comments left and read the blogs (if they have any) of the people who leave comments on your blog?? I was just wondering becuase that is how I have found several of my regular reads and didn't know if you ever get the chance to just hit the name and go peek at our little worlds since we get a glimpse into yours.
